Don't think so. I've got 305/55/20's and a 2 inch autospring and fully turned there is a very slight rub. Any bigger and I'd have a problem.

It might work of you went with a Daystar 2.5 inch spacer instead. I know people have run 35's like this, but only using the narrow stock rims. A wider rim with a 35 would probally rub badly.

They're not XLT wheels. They're optional Ford Accessory wheels. The others were machined aluminum with no clearcoat. Not maintenance friendly. Too much work when driven through the winter. Gonna sell 'em. Would keep 'em if I lived down south somewhere.

oh, i thought those were XLT wheels, cause a buddy of mine has a 05' XLT, with no options really, and it has those wheels on it?? maybe its just something weird, cause most of the XLT's here on lots have those wheels....05's that is...

I'll have to look at one of the window stickers and see what they say.... they look good though man, kinda like a version of the 18" FX4 wheels

I think maybe they're optional wheels on the 2005 XLT, but weren't in 2004.

Rims for truck

I posted this in the Wheels and tires forum but got no answer. Somebody there said you could replace the 18" rims with 17" rims on the 05 FX4. Is this true? Aren't the brake calipers etc too big for 17" rims? I would love to replace my 18 with 17 so I have more tire options but was under the impression they would not work without changing everything out
