rotors?

anyone look at their rotors yet? I have about 24k miles on my truck and notice a few groves in mine. I know that the front wheels of our trucks always get dirty from the brakes. Just wondering if its normal or if there is a problem.

If your rotors are grooving, get the dealer to replace them under warranty. I just had mine done for grooving at 5k and warping at 20k. After the initial grooving, they resurfaced, then when it warped, they checked their OASIS system and saw a meesage that the rotors needed to be replaced. Your dealer should hook you up. New rotors and the truck stops smooth as silk again.

When the time comes I'm planning on tossing the OEM brakes for POWERSLOT and HAWK PERFORMANCE pads rather than resurfacing the rotors and dealing with the ever present brake dust.

Mine are seriously grooved at 2,000 miles. Ford is replacing them, but I am buying my own pads EBC Supreme 7000 series.

This should keep some dust off my new wheels. The EBC claim 90% dust free and easier on the rotors.

Any 04-05 F150 built before 11/04 qualifies for the rotor swap. Just tell em its vibrating and they will replace them.
