Tire Size

Completely Noob question but here goes... I often hear you guys mention how a certain size tire and a certain size wheel result in a certain size overall wheel size...like 33" or 35". I've even heard some use the "according to my calculations" with a 34.### result... How do you guys calculate this stuff....

Simple calculation

325/60-18

((325/25.4) * (1.2)) + 18

25.4 = mm/inch
1.2 = 60% * 2
18 = rim diameter
