Finally Here!
Finally Here!
Well my 2005 FX4 Scab came in on Feb 18th. I know it's been a while to post, but i had major 'puter problems and some unwanted oral surgery.
I love the truck. I have been doing searches and reading up on things to keep current.
I had one strange problem where the tranny slipped like it was in neutral. happened for only a few seconds. Brought it in to the dealer and they noticed that I had a tranny cooler line leak and was down 3-4 qts. I didn't notice any leak on the driveway, especially with snow on the ground, but problem fixed. I also have what appears to be that deisel sounding engine knock, and a slight shudder when making turns from a stop. The dealer said that the engine noise was normal (loud injectors), and could not replicate the shudder (truck was warmed up well).
I even gave the service manager the SSM 18432 (?) number i got from searches (cam phasers) and they nothing was coming up. my attitude is if something goes wrong, it's under warranty and I'll get it fixed, but if it's for something that I already spoke to them about, some hell will be raised. Only fair. I will bring it back for the shudder again when the weather gets a little nicer, or could this be just a characteristic of a LS rear? I had a 1970 Mach 1 that had a LS 9" and although a bit noisy, never felt like this. It only happens sometimes so I will see.
All in all it's a fantastic truck. No other problems to report at 600 miles.
Sorry, I only have a few pics from the day I brought it home and it was getting dark, and the pics, well suck. I will post pics when the weather gets nicer and I can give 'er a good detail.
Sorry for the long post and it's good to be back with you fine and helpful folks.

Thanks for the peplies.
acticus, I do love it. I'm sure I will for a long time.
cajun, thanks. Yeah it is sad that Ford is doing this. Funny it didn't happen on the way home from work today after I posted. Same roads, same speeds, same turns etc. Just like at the dealer when you want them to feel or hear something. I will have it addressed soon though. I'll do a search for a TSB.
Once again, thanks

Its sad that ford is still delivering trucks with the shudder. You need new clutch packs.
