Rock Pick, convince me......please

RP,

I was looking at your album, when I came accross the G.A.P. grille insert. Very cool, I gotta have one o' those, I says. So I looked one up in e-bay to see how much.

Holy cow.... $60 for a $10 piece of plastic.

RP, anybody, PLEASE talk me into getting one... PLEASE.

Go for it! I'm trying to decide between the G.A.P. Insert or the Putco stainless steel bumper insert like Iam74Gibson has on his truck... Thread Link

Good luck!

Let me talk you out of it. Save a little bit more money and get a nice set of bull bars put on your truck. It will hide the big blank void and it will toughin your trucks appearance up a bit. Just my opion - but shared by many

I've got the GAP piece and you're right $58 is a lot for a piece of plastic.

However, I think it puts the finishing touches on the front of the truck and it matches perfectly. It is very easy to install and while plastic, appears to be fairly rugged.

I put mine on my christmas list and Santa brought it. Have a birthday coming up??

The G.A.P. would be worth it for me, as long as people would quit asking me "is that they way it came from the factory?". I hate that!!!

Umm... not sure how to convince you. I like the way it looks. A much cleaner front end if you ask me...

Also, just for good measure so that all the 04/05 guys get to read/view this, I'm going to bounce this down to that forum.

My wife just got mad at me for you making such a remark to suggest only men would like that. She has instructed me to inform you that when you think about our trucks that she also likes modded trucks, Now that she has kicked back on the sofa and I no longer worry about her cast iron skillet hitting me in the back of the head I will ask if their are any females on these forums. Now that she has agreed to let me order a 05 Screw 4x4 when I sell our fifthwheel and my Harley I know she will be asking tons of questions and will prefer a womans point of veiw.

I picked one up for 47 bucks shipped on ebay. I know that is still too much for what they are, but it's 10 dollars less than what most are paying. If I can find that particular auction, I'll post the link...Kevin

That auction ended and the seller didn't put up another one. Sorry I mentioned it...

I emailed the seller after missing the close of that auction for the GAP for #39.95 and he relisted them for me. If anyone is interested email him and ask about getting another listing. That's how I got mine.

Yep, there are females on these forums who LOVE their trucks! Tell your wife to ask away! I am usually on the King Ranch forum.

My wife and our adopted daughter both love their F150's and next week I'll be detailing both so they can go park them in a local field full of our Central TX Blue Bonnets so they can both prove that women also love their trucks, So sometime next week check back to see that photo. My wife loves this truck. Our good young friend who we love like our own never owned a truck but after talking to my salesman put her in one she now loves. She is going to join this forum and I feel my wife will as well. I can say one thing for certain, I've never seen my wife look at Mods and get excited about owning a vehicle. But now she sees she drives around in a truck that has a following above the rest!

I look forward to seeing the pics! I never thought I would have a love affair with a truck! If all those women who now drive SUVs would drive a F150, Ford would double or triple their sales!

The ebay seller I bought mine from for $39.95 plus $7.00 shipping was: pda4179. If you contact him he may put them back up on ebay for that price again.
