Has anyone had this happen to them yet. At 1000-rpms I get a valve knock. It goes away as soon as I excellerate. But at exact 1k rpms it knocks.

I have tried higher oct. even oct booster. but it still does it. Does anyone have any ideas???

What the guys are trying to tell you is that it sounds like your cam phaser(s) are acting up. There is a TSB out on them.

Use the "SEARCH" function in the top right row of buttons and look for CAM PHASER. You'll get more info.

I get a spark knock when running say 70 to 75 then kicking it to pass someone on the interstate. I personally think its the crappy gas around here. I have the Superchips 1714 tuner but have the 87 tune installed. I guess I could try the 93 octane tune and pay the extra 25 cents a gallon. Where do you buy your gas?

 

If you think in your own opinion that it is a little too louder than normal, then take it in for service and explain to your mechanic that their is a TSB for this and ask him to check it out.

It's still under warranty, so best to get it done now before it gets any worse and damages your engine.
