What!?! Yeah, that sounds safe for all the rest of us on the road....why the hell would you want to play and drive at the same time? I sure hope you mean for a passenger.

Plus that can still be done with a nice in-dash unit, and more stealthy so the bacon doesn't pull you over. I just want the in-dash Eclipse unit so I can watch **** on the morning commute. Gonna have to scotch-guard the interior first...

Are you sure the eclipses can play while driving?

but, you know thats actually how Alpine got sued a few years back and caused them to make it impossible to watch while driving. Someone was driving around watching a little **** and someone's little kid saw it. and they were scared for life.

The bacon might pull me over and ask if they can watch. They really don't care about that stuff around my area.

Thumper, Im pretty sure all you have to do is run the wire that goes to the parking brake to a ground and it will play all the time. Do a search, I know its been talked about on here before, but im pretty sure thats all you have to do.

I wasn't sure about the Eclipse but the new Alpines won't work even by grounding it out or else I'd be going with the new Alpine D901.

Just so you know while I was in the Military I broke my back on (3) ocassions same place twice, yes I'm lucky I can walk but my retirement/disability make the pain a little easier. and YEP I STILL RIDE. I spent my whole military career in the Army Infantry, 10th Mountain, 75th Rangers. and I would do it again today if needed.. Big Red One, 1st Infantry, 25th Div., 5th Div. and 3rd Armor Cav. primary M.O.S. 11Bravo, secondary 19D, light infantry scout.

avn2454

I just got the avn2454 installed in my expy and all you have to do is gound the parking brake wire and you can watch while driving. This is important to me cuz my wife would want to watch something on along trip without having to sit in the back.

The installer told me the new 2005 units (most brands) won't let you watch while driving even if you ground the parking brake wire.
