2004/1999 F150 faceoff

Pulled the trucks up face to face today, and the 2004 is much bigger, bolder, and agressive looking imo.

Now there's proof you can make a great thing (the 99) even better (the 04)

I have a few shots of the 01 with the 04 and the 04 definatly looks tougher.

(Ya I know the ranger looks like a little toy in that pic)

Atleast my black ranger is as tall as the 150s

On a bad hair day, the Fords still look way better than that white thing in this thread. Driving something would have to be like being with an ugly chick. Fun until you get caught ...Kevin

Easy now... I'm driving the Chevy, yes, but understand I grew up in a blue oval house and like to keep up with this board. The main reason for the GM truck was finances, GM was a whole lot more generous with the $$$ to help compete with the new F-150.

Honestly I think the time for all the Ford vs Chevy may have to come later, even though it is fun..... the enemy is out there in Nissans and Toyotas. Both Ford and GM are losing market share and that means jobs. When Ford redesigned the F-150 I hoped they'd knock it out of the park: they did! Much to the dismay of the auto press. Can you imagine if Ford had had problems with the new truck. Motor Trend, Car & Driver, etc would have had a field day.... Titan this and Tundra that!!!! (They're still trying to hype them as much as possible) It just kills me every time I see Darrell Waltrip doing Toyota comercials.

When I bought last fall I drove a Titan to see what was all the fuss. While you guys may question my tastes in trucks, believe me the Nissan wasn't screwed together. I've never been in a new vehicle that seemed to have so many vibrations and odd characteristics. (Sure didn't read about it in the car mags) It did have lots of power, but there was no way it was anywhere as comfortable as the new Ford, or even the Chevy for that matter.

So, please bear with me. Yeah I drive the Chevy, but hey at least it "ain't a Nissan."

Vroten,

I hear ya brother. I can't complain about my deal, I got the last of the 0% for 72 months deal. I didn't consider buying a chevy because GM sold me a truck a few years ago that was wrecked at the factory as new and didn't say anything about it. Hence, I will NEVER buy anything else made by GM, ever. Just my experience, your mileage may vary.

I'll have to admit if someone gave me the Ridgline I'd take it out and beat the crap out of it!

Well than again I'd do that with a Geo.

Anyways back to topic, I remember when my dad had a 98 F-150 and that thing was real low compared to the new trucks. I just put a leveling kit on my truck and the other day someone asked me why I didn't have wheels and tires with my lift kit!

I love these trucks!

Sorry... but if the SUV is feminine looking, cutting off the roof ain't gonna make it look too masculine.

Let's stay on topic please... Ridgeline conversations are meant for General Discussions and not the 04/05 forum.
