A quick headlight swap "how to" with pics

I know some of you guys were asking how hard it was to swap the headlights in the black headlight thread. Well I got my black headlights in today and figured I would take a couple pics to show you just how easy the swap is.

First off you will have to move the rubber piece beside the headlight. This will expose two 10mm bolts. You have to romove these two bolt and the one on the top:

Once you remove these 3 bolts you can wiggle the headlight loose. You have to release the tap locking the upper part of the headlight to the fender....its located right over the bolt thats on top. After that you will have to work the headlight side to side to loosen 2 retaining clips located near the marker light (this was the trickiest part for me on the first light because I didn't know about these clips and thus didn't know what was still holding the light in):

After you work the clips out the entire headlight assembly will come out. All you do then is unplug the headlight bulb, the turn signal bulb and the marker light bulb. To re-install you simple reverse the steps above. It shouldnt take but ablout 10-15 min to swap both of them.

The final result if you go with the black headlights:

I hope this little walk through will help if you were wondering how hard the swap is.

Perfect! Now I know what to expect and it wont be so discouraging. I hate it when its a first time for something on a new truck and you have those chances or ruining something.

Thanks!

Looks great! Could you get a pic of the entire front end of your truck? I'm just trying to get a better idea of how those black headlights look against a dark color.
