Thank you...... He must not have known we were talking about the flow thru console shifter.... But I must also add this, how EXACTLY did it break?? Did you hit it with something? Were you picking at it endlessly until it finally gave? Did you drop something on it? Well my friend THAT ISNT WARRANTY! Things just dont break on their own.. If the chrome was flaking off, or if it had a discoloration on it, then it would be covered under warranty. Stupidity doesnt = warranty.... Im sorry, your dealer is in the right, and if you came into my dealership with that attitude, you would have been asked to leave, and to take your business elsewhere... Your the reason our trucks are so god damn expensive!!!

Our trucks do have a lot of plastic but it feels like it was done correctly (thick enough panels and reinforced). Pretty solid design. Feels more robust than last generation F150s.

FINALLY somebody says what i always try to explain!!!

EXACTLLY!!! I pay 42k for a truck because so many people come in a complain about SQUEEKY doors and other nonesense! Do you have your computer replaced every time it crashes? Do you send back the monitor because you scratched it being a moron? Do you call bill gates and demand your hard drive be "bought back" because the software isn't to your perfect liking?

oh well...love my ford

This thread ranks right up there with the one about crappy keys. This is just complaining for the sake of complaining.

You really think so? I know MANY people are unhappy with the feel of that shifter. They say it feels cheap and doesn’t match the quality of the truck. Now don’t get me wrong, plastic is a great material when used for certain applications, but when it’s a piece that a customer is going to be touching and using a lot it might make sense to "over design" it in order to improve how solid it feels

touching and using alot? You use the shifter for maybe 30 seconds a day shifting into drive, reverse or park.

Crying for the sake of crying.... the metal in the bed is too thin, the plasic handle is cheap, the keys don't feel right, the windows are not transparent enough, the mirrors should reflect more, blah blah blah...

Exactly!. you might only use it for 30 seconds but it sure is a convenient place to rest your hand.

So many issues with those...
First, I'm 99.9999% sure that those wont work. Second, if they did fit there would be issues with how they look in the truck and fit with the lower trim piece.

Isn't that what the arm rest is for? Are you gripping the shifter the whole time? No wonder you broke it... hands on the wheel people!
