Angry Water Water everywhere!

So I'm ran through a car wash today to get all the salt off my truck and get it cleaned up before I take my truck into the dealer tomorrow for a number of things...I just added 2 more things to the list!!

First off, I take a towel after I get home and just wipe it down a little more, I saw the taillights and both of them are filled up about 1/4 of the way up of water inside the lence! Thats great huh?

Then, I go to wipe down the inside of the truck and happend to crawl in on my knees on my drivers side to reach for something on the ground, and I come out and my legs are really wet! I put my hand down on the carpuet to feel where the water was at, and when I press REALLY hard on my carpet, theres acually a puddle of water that comes up from under the carpet! (I have the catch all water floor mats so water never ever gets on the carpet) I then place my hand underneath my drivers seat and it's still a puddle! whats up with that?? Passenger side itsn't as bad, but just damp, but I think there might be a hole or something under my truck where water sprayed up into the cab! I mean it's one big puddle! Yet another thing for my dealer to fix!

Anyone else have a problem with water in there taillights and water inside there cab like that?

When it rains, it just pours for you, doesn't it?

I've got a little water in the corner edges of my tail lights. Only time I've ever had water leak into the cab was when the seal around the 3rd brake light was torn though.

I wonder if the water in my cab has anythign to do with me getting my underside rust proofed? The dealer sprayed a bunch of the black crap all over the place under it and I wonder if it pluged up a hole that suppose to let water out?

No offense, but shouldn't you be worried about the hole that lets the water in?

Water

Triton,

I too had water in the passenger side and it turned out to be running in via the wiring harness. Dealer has a hard time finding it untill they took out the fuse panel.

Re: Water Water everywhere!

And you want another F150? Seriously maybe you should get a F250 that have been known not to have problems like this. I have never seen anyone have so many problems.

yeah, I still want another one LOL I got one of the few odd ***** that the guys had to have been drunk when putting mine together or something..who knows..all I know is that I got an odd ball! Just my luck, my frist new truck ever and all this happends! I have filed for the lemon law already but this attorney I have keeps telling me if anything more comes up with my truck like this, to keep taking it in still and still have the guys work on it, but keep mailing the proof over to her, so I guess thats why I'm still trying to all this fixed still. I to hope I get another F150 that all I can say is how wonderful it is! My father has an 02 F150 with 175K already on it and it's been damn near flawless and still solid as a beast! I want another F150 which I can drive a week without going into the dealer...it will come..just will take some time before I get a settlement from Ford.

no no, becuase I know Ford doesn't make trucks like they did with mine. Who knows what happened with mine, but I can't wait to get another though. Acually you guys kinda make me jelouse saying how much you love your trucks still. I just wish I could say that about mine, but hopfully I can say that with my new F150 when it comes a long! I'm a Ford man, I won't go anywhere else!

The water on the carpet could be from your seal around the 3rd brake light. I have heard some stories of guys carpets getting wet because of this seal. I would take off the 3rd brake light and take a look inside. I can pretty much gaurantee that is where it came from.

As for the tail lamps, I'm sure it's the same deal. Bad seals.

I'm sure your next truck will be perfect though. (fingers crossed) Glad to see that you aren't shying away from the Ford. Your a good man, Triton.
