Ground Force vs DJM

Posted this in "suspension" with no luck so I thought id try here. Mods plz delete the other one if you feel the need to do so.

Im at a cross roads as far as lowering my 05 F-150.
I kind of leaning towards DJM because they use control arms for the drop versus springs.
Anyone know much about eaither and have opinions on them? I dont want to have my ride quality dramatically differ from stock...dont want a hard ride...just an nice ride height for my 22s.

I don't recommend the DJM. Ride quality is lost dramatically.

Thanks for the input. Im assuming that youve had experience with DJM then? So does this mean the spring kit with the GF Kit doesnt affect ride quality as much?

Well im definatly confused now........
I have a local shop that has the GF Kit but I do not think it includes Cam Bolts or shims for pinion angle. But nobosy has chimed in on ride quality. 1st reply said DJM harshens the ride so I was really looking tinto GF.

Well I can't comment on the complete kit, but I have the DJM rear shackles on my truck and have not notied any ride difference. Had them one for about 8 months or so.

I dont see how djm has a harsher ride. It uses the stock springs just repositions the driveline componets. The ONLY way it could ride in my eyes "harsh" is if the rear bump stops weren't removed and the truck was riding on those. Which I have seen people do.

Im looking at either the 2.5/4 or 3.5/5 drop kit for my 04. Havent decided yet.

Please tell me why you would want to replace factory casted aluminum control arms with these POS...

Thats like dumping a supermodel girlfriend and going to a white trash bum.

I believe on my 05 they are tubes now too and not casted heavy weaker steel. The factory ones look just like that one pictured.

I used a mcguaghs 3" 5" drop kit. It uses lowered springs in the front and rear flip kit, shakles and shock extenders in the rear. It rides pretty close to stock, not much change. Im really satisfied with it!

I am not sure of the ride quality of the f150 parts, but I had a ton of DJM's suspension parts on my old ranger and it was excellent build quality and rode good too.

Lowering

I went with the McGauheys 2/4 drop kit. And absoulutley
love it. Glad I went with it. The ride quality is superb!! The front uses the lowered coil springs, so theres no major components that change. The rear on the 4" drop, you get a whole new leaf spring which is a 2-leaf pack instead of the factory 3-leaf pack and uses all the stock mounting points. Has shock extenders so you still get the full travel of your shocks. I used to have some really lowered vehicles in the past, was in the hydraulic scene for a while. So when my wife found out I was lowering my brand new truck she threw a fit, lol. When she rode in it however, she was impressed. Said she really couldnt tell of the difference.
I will still be towing a camper and a boat. So I just stayed with the 2/4 drop, But absolutely love it. I have 20's on mine, I noticed you will be going with 22's. That would be awesome.
Just my 2 cents.

Later...........
