Anyone have the 'Gate Gasket' ???

If you have one, how well does it work? Does it keep out pretty much ALL the dust and moisture that blows up in the bed from small openings around where the tailgate closes?

I have a hard bed cover that keeps the water and so on out, but I hate the dust and grime that gets in from the bottom and sides of the tailgate.

I have the optional gate gasket that I bought with the retrax. I've never ran without it so I can't compare before/after but I've had no problems. I live in the desert so there's PLENTY of dust around. To date, my bed has stayed extemely dust free in my opinion. Also, we had quite a bit of rain lately, very very hard at times. I've seen no more than literally 2 or 3 drops of water right by the tailgate, the rest of the bed is bone dry. I'm very happy with the retrax w/ gate gasket. This pic was taken the night I did the install so the bed was already dirty, since I cleaned it, it's stayed clean.

Put something real similiar on my dad's truck with a ******* cover and it was like night and day. Driving around the ranch all kinds of crude would get back there and we would have to clean all the tools at the end of the day. 6 months after installing it, still havent had to clean a major amout of dust off the tools.

Don't worry, you guys will be laughing at me in a few months when I can't even wash my truck during the day without melting or bursting into flames.

Freezing? I thought that was the second half of a fridge. Cool 79 right now with a sunny sky for the past 5 days.
