12" or 18" exhaust tip?

I want to put a Gibson tip on my stock exhaust. Should I go for the 12" or 18"?

2.5" x 3.5" x12"

OR

2.5" x 3" x 18"

I'd be happy with a 3" extension!

you talking about the clamp-on Gibson tip that slides overtop of the factory pipe?

I used to have the 12" one, there is a pic or two in my gallery. I think 18" would be way too long. Also, you want to measure your factory pipe diameter, mine was 2.75", so that is tip I bought.

Yes. It's the clamp on type. I ordered a 2.75" 12"L and got it yesterday only find out that I need the 2.5" diameter. Then I saw the 18" one on the website and thought I should ask.

oh...we talked via email before about the tip...

Take a ruler and hold it down there, but I think 18" would stick out too much.

Yup. I think the 18"er would be too long. Funny how your tip used a 2.75" end and mine's 2.5". Hmmmmm.

The 18” tip would look good if you had a muffler shop cut the stock pipe back and weld it on so it wouldn’t be sticking out to far
