Yawn, I haven't caused one problem thank you. Please drive thru.

Me, look at yourselves. Grow up and be open minded for once in your life!

2005 Titan LE, 4x4 Crew Cab = Gross Weight: 6522 lbs.
Curb Weight: 5106 lbs.

2005 F150 SuperCrew 4x4 = Curb Weight: 5577 lbs. Gross Weight: 7200 lbs.

It is true, nothing "does a better job" than the Titan in failing Government Safety Standards...

I still can't believe some people have enough time on their hands to go into a Ford Truck Forum and talk about how great a Titan is.

The only reason it has gotten that far is because you came over here from TT and provoked people. Seriously, do you expect to come here and tell us how much better the titan is without starting something like this? What would happen if I went to that forum and went on about how great the F-150 is? I'd bet it would end the same way. However, I have better things to do than troll around starting crap. That being said, if you want to praise the Titan, do it over there. We'll stay here and love our trucks. Don't let the doorknob hit you...

Not to beat a dead horse, BUT, I am taking delivery of my new 05' F150 tomorrow and dropping off my 05' Titan if that tells you anything. My Titan had navi, DVD, sunroof, etc....but, it still wasnt enough to win me over and keep it in my driveway after driving the 05' Ford!! Overall, the Titans fit and finish was horrible. I didnt feel at any time that the Titan is a truck that would be reliable and durable over time. Sure, its fast as hell, but for how many miles??? I made a mistake and now I couldnt be happier picking up my new Lariat tomorrow. Nissan didnt do a bad job with the Titan, but, they have a long way to go with refinement issues and reliability. The Ford just seems soooo much more refined and pleasant to drive. The power is just fine for me as I am not trying to break land speed records. I am simply wanting a durable, attractive, hard working truck that is fun to drive and will last me a long time.....so, I did what I should have done in the beggining--give berth to my new child-----my shiny new 05' screw lariat (black) w/sunroof, tow package, audiophile, power rear window, heated leather, etc.....I am already starting to brainstorm over mods, so any help would be appreciated!! Thanks everyone....
Paul

Congrats on the F150 purchase and welcome!

Welcome to the "real truck" forum.

To answer what I think was your original question:
I have had my true blue FX4 for almost a month now and the only noise coming from inside the cab is the ashtray. It is somewhat irritating at times but I plan to put an end to it this next weekend.

Now, let's get to the mods!
If your not putting on a 4" or 6" lift might I suggest a leveling kit to lift up that front end a couple inches... I used the Daystar 2.5". I plan to post some pics of this sometime this week...

If you want an increase in power, torque, improve throttle response and shiftpoints... this summer I plan on putting on the Banks Monster exhaust, k&n intake and either the Diablo or Xcalibrator tuner...

Good Luck and let's see some pics of yours soon.

Start saving money for the mods! And if you have a girlfriend or wife, don't let her know anything about your mod money. Hide it!

Paul congrats ! Wish i would have signed in a day or so earlier i could have got you a X-PLAN to help in the trade loss from the Titan. I have a FX4 and they resurfaced the front rotors at 5700 miles and they are still smooth today with nearly 16,000 on them. I just started getting a front end vibration that comes and goes at highway speeds. Thay have a TSB on this and it goes in tommorrow. All in all im really happy with this truck and would get another one with out hesatation. Oh get a tuner for it makes the driving much more fun .

Sorry but I haven't really been praising the Titan. You discuss the titan and talk misinformation and all I am doing is correct it. Sorry if you can't handle that. I am here because I like the F150s as well. I like to learn and watch what is new with them because I might still get one eventually.

Hmmm 05 Titan, you didn't even give it a chance. There is a guy on the forum that has over 70k on this 2004 with 0 problems. NONE! He will have 140k by this time next year. He said it still drives and rides like its new.

What is this X-Plan? I am interest to know how that can help get yourself out of a car that is upside down. Kinda like my Titan.

6) Titan has 5 speed auto

Ford:

1) F150 has higher max towing numbers (but doesn't do a better job at it)
2) F150 has higher payload, again doesn't do a better job)
3) F150 has a better interior
4) F150 has a quieter engine and drivetrain
5) F150 has a quiter ride period

Well, when you buy a truck, you look for what the Titan has more than what the Ford has usually. So you take your pick between the two.

what's the point in all of that weight capacity when those cottage cheese brakes on the Titan cant stop the truck?
