Welcome to the board Paulphilly

I've had my '05 Lariat for about 5 months now. No problems. I couldn't be happier with this truck. The 5.4 has plenty of power for my needs. I'm getting about 13mpg city and 18 on the hwy now.

I was looking at the Toyota Tundra until I test drove the new F-150......The rest is history

Watch out for this guy! I think he is trouble!

Huh? I have no clue what your talking about. I have never been kicked off any board.

And also I have never been a troll even on this board. You won't catch me bad mouthing the F150. I love the F150, but no dealer would work with me. So I went next door to see the Titan.

Yea, you'll probably have a harder time getting a F150 for a steal because these things are selling SOOO Well right now. Why would a dealer give it away when you're going to sell it anyway.

I hear they're having problems hitting the Sales numbers for the Titan, so you probably Can get a dealer to work with you more (they can barely Give them away from what I understand...)

Well they did take 10k off. So they were trying to give it away. But my trade in was upside down too much since they don't like luxury cars on their lot. lol

If anyone is thinking about going to an F150 after having the Titan, then they finally got some sence! I don't know why you guys went with that thing anyway? F150 by far makes the best built truck on the road no if's and but's! You will be much happier going with an F150 after having the a titan. By the way you, you guys really have to admit, those things are fugly looking. The only thing they have going for them is the power, but who buys a truck to race? You buy a truck to work and the F150 is the way to go! About 6 months ago, a guy that lives down the street from me brought a 04 Titan (I don't knoe the guy though, but I have seen him driving it every day since he got it) Needless to say, now theres a Black 05 F150 Lariat in his driveway that he now drives everyday. Looks like he realized the mistake he made also and fixed it! I just thought it was funny, but to each there own, but F150 is the top leader and nothing can beat them.

I believe most people buy trucks to be able to use them. And power is a major part of it. If you can't tow a load well, then your in trouble. And since the Titan pulls loads much better than my bosses f150 lariat, I am usually the one doing all the work these days.

The Titan's looks are subjective. I like them. I like the F150 more, but the Titan is no where near ugly. Only people that seem to be blinded and biased think the Titan is ugly. Which includes you. By your post you are obviously blinded and biased towards the F150.

I know someone who had a 04 Screw, that traded it in for a Titan because of all the issues he had. He likes the Titan better.

It happens everywhere. You don't have to bad mouth another brand truck to make yours look better.

In 2004 when Ford came out with their new truck, everything new usually takes about a year to figure out all the bugs it may have in it. Its unfortunate that some of the 2004 owners have had problems, but thats just part of buying a brand new redesigned vehicle. I waited for the 2005 to come out so that hopefully all of the bugs would have been found and workded out. I am extremely happy to tell you that I have loved my decision because I absolutly love my truck. Just like news, you always hear more about the bad things about something while no one talks about the good. I am sure that there are a lot more happy and satisfied people out there with their F-150 than you hear about. Why else would the F-Series be the best selling truck. Good luck on your decision, and I hope like me, you will love your investment.

Maybe not in sales, but the fact of the matter is Ford has been beat.

But get your F150. I might consider one eventually again. Hopefully the 2nd one is a charm for you. I was lucky to get a charm of a Titan my first shot without any problems except the brakes which I fixed myself.

I'd consider a Titan if I didn't have two kids and a wife. The Titan's were Recalled because they weren't passing crash tests. They had to bolt some reinforcements in or something. That's just something I'm not going to fool around with.... Bad Brakes aren't cool either...

I have an 04 FX4 SCAB with 5K miles, and couldn't be happier. I say test drive what you want, and if you like it, buy it!

Umm thats the first I have heard of a Titan not passing crashed tests when its rated 2nd best behind the F150 in crash testing! lol. The only issue I saw was the rear seat belt anchor issue and has been resolved. So really thats a poor excuse.

Nissan has determined that some 2004 model year Nissan Titan King Cab and Crew Cab vehicles fail to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 201 – Occupant Protection in Interior Impact. FMVSS 201 specifies certain requirements for components othe upper interior of vehicles such as roof rails and pillars to assure they afford appropriate protection in the event an occupant’s head strikes the component in a crash. Nissan has determined that an area on the rear pillar where the rear seat belt upper anchor is attached may not be sufficiently energy absorbent. This could result in an increased risk of injury if the area is struck in some types of crashes. All other requirements under FMVSS 201 and other standards are met.
