Thumbs down Clunk!

I searched but couldn't find anything. I also looked up the TSBs and recalls but nothing...Anyways whenever I shift into drive from park with the brake pressed I can feel a surge and a clunking noise? Whats going on guys?

Im taking my truck in while Im on my back, so they're going to get a list!

How soon after starting are you shifting into drive? I noticed during colder weather, when I'm puhsing higher RPMs on start up, if I shift before the tach goes down then it goes into drive with some force.

you're describing the sound of a bad u-joint. They run about $15 each and take about 20 minutes to change, assuming you have adequate tools.

Are you referring to the Vent that opens and closes? It sometimes makes a little noise. Nothing serious though.
