Magnaflow Install Question - Now Installed! With Pics!
Pontoon of a muffler...
ROFLMAO!!! That was great.
My wife saw it in the garage floor after a trip to Bowling Green to see her new neice (well, my new neice too but, I wanted to install my exhaust) and couldn't believe that it was hanging under my truck.
I have an idea... let's get our mufflers together and build some kind of boat. LOL! Pontoons... LMAO!
Seriously though, about 2 hours into trying to get my stock muffler off, I just about called you. I had already made up my mind that I was goign to rebolt everything back in place and drive to the place of your choosing for help. I was at wits end. My neighbor and I finally yanked it loose (with the help of a can of liquid wrench). Once off, I think it took about 30 minutes to install the Magnaflow.

INSTALLED!
Thanks to everyone who helped me with this decision and also with the install. I have ABSOLUTELY NO REGRETS...
The sound is INCREDIBLE and I absolutely LOVE the look.

the power of suggestion...
So after reading all these posts about the Magnaflow 15821, I finally ordered one through hottexhaust. Now I just need to tell the wife when it arrives. Anyhow, I have never installed an exhaust ever before, but am 99.4% sure I could probably do it. They are offering a free install for the magnaflows, though. Do you think it would be worth it to get the free install, or is it easy enough for me to do?

Don't let my lack of wrenching skills deter you... it's really a piece of cake. Just be patient and pray your stock comes off easy. LOL!

RP,
All that rust on your driveshaft is bound to throw it out of balance sooner or later. You should get it replaced with a new non-rusting aluminum one Ford is putting on the F150 now. Just kidding. The Magnaflow looks great. Is the chrome tip welded on? I had to get my tips welded. Even with the clamps as tight as I could get them, the tips could still be moved on the pipes.

That Magnaflow rolled tip really sets it off. As far as the rusted driveshaft goes that’s nothing a few Brillo pads can’t fix.
Looks great RP!
Not sure I'm going to start an undercarriage nightmare of cleaning... LOL!
