It's a dark red.

 

I had a leaky trans too. Dealer replaced the torque converter seal. I found it leaking again. Dealer looked at it and said it was porosity in the case. Dealer replaced the case. I asked to see the faulty case. I could see where the dyed fluid was leaking out past the large o-ring seal in the front of the tranny case. I did not see any porosity. I think that the dealership messed up the o-ring and then charged Ford for a new case to ensure that they didn't have to pay for re-work. Total price-------$1100.00
