I didn't realize that Daystar came in a 2" I thought it was only 2.5". That being said, I have the 2.5 and now the front is .25" lower than the back, so if you have a 2" kit is should put you .75" lower in the front. It will still look tons better that the stock rake, and you'll have room for bigger rubber if you want.

I don't know if one is really better that the other, much like asking Autospring or Daystar, personal preference rules.

Good luck, post pics when you get it installed
Marty

Check your sources again, i am going to go along wiht Daystar not making a 2" kit...only a 2.5" kit.

Can you post where you bought a 2" kit?

Ive got the Daystar 2.5" lift and am very happy with the look. Heres a pic if you were wondering what it would look like on a scab.

Wink

I have the 2.5 Daystar and love it. My front is setting about 1" lower, but I have a Ranch Hand brush guard on my truck. Sorry, I don't have any pics yet. I am waiting until I have my new wheels and tires on.

That looks like the same kit i got, but only in Red.

I think the dude posted it wrong. It should be 2.5". I am 99% sure on that.

Check out daystarproducts.com

They make a 2" level kit for 81-96 F150

For 2004, they only show a 2.5" kit. I would be pretty confident the kit you are getting is 2.5"

If I asked them to measure it, what would it come out to be exactly?

Sorry guys for all the questions, but I would hate to spend the $128 and have to sell it and wait for the new kit to come in!

I love this site!

Dude, email the seller, tell them the info you gathered from here....more than likely they will admit they posted wrong.

Excellent....

You're going to love the lift man....cept you HAVE to get larger tires.

Looks like you have 4 donut tires on with the lift an no larger tires.

Here are some pics of my truck (https://www.f150online.com/forums/sh...=&pagenumber=2) after the kit, with 325/75R17's (OEM takeoffs from a 2004 Hummer H2)

Tires look awesome...

Pictures suck though, but you can see the red spacers in my wheel well.

You are paying just about right for the kit and shipping. I had my local rice racer shop install it for 70 bucks, then paid 40 bucks to have a shop align the frong end (It will be WAY off ... the camber that is)

04 Red Lariat

Did you paint your rain guards red, or did you find them stock red somewhere?

I have the same color...and that plus the red hard cover on the bed sure make the truck one of a kind...

Jelousy is most definately in effect.
