Angry CD Player Sucks!

I woke up this morning and my girlfriend asked if I could take her to class. I said why not. After dropping her off, I decided to play a couple cds for the ride back. And guess what, it wont read any of my cds and says there are all bad, when just two days ago I played them with now problems.

So I called Ford and let them know of the problem, and they tell me that they will take it out and send it away, and it will be about two weeks or so. So now I will be with out a radio in my truck, and you know what the kicker is, is that I am going on vacation on Friday and I am going to have a truck with no radio.

I haven't taken it to the stealership yet, and probably wont until after I get backed. I am just pissed that they just wont replace it, but they want to check it first. I just don't understand why its not working anymore.

I just needed to blow some steam off, I hope nobody else has had this problem before.

I dont know if it will help or not but you could try to kill power to it and maybe it will reset? ( Battery Disconnect )

they won't.

I had to have a radio replaced before.

However, with mine, they took the radio out to get whatever they needed off it, then ordered the replacement. They put the old one back in until the replacement arrived, then called me for the swap. No reason they shouldn't be able to do the same here.

Mike99a, thats what did. I got to thinking maybe thats what it was and went out there and took care of it and now its working. What is curious is what made it do that?

Thanks for the help!

I've had the same issue

Haven't addressed it because it is intermittent and rare but it does happen to me

This seems to be a common problem. It is happening once in awhile in my truck as well. See another thread about it
