I-PODs

RP: I know this shouldn't be in here but its the only forum I browse. Leave it up for me.

I was wondering where everyone has bought their I-Pods from and where they have found them the cheapest. I found the 40gb for $300 from Crutchfield but no cheaper any place else. Any ideas?

Directly from Apple.com

They give an educational discount. If you go to their site, they don't require proof that your a student either

I got my Gen4 20gb for 270 shipped.

I know Ipods rock and are versatile if your playing to get one of those special decks and cables to connect it or whatever but have you considered something else? I just now for the same price you can get a whole lot more. Like in my example i was looking for ipods when i took a look at the RCA Lyras and Creative Zens that for actually less you can have 4" color screens that play movies, record tv, hold/view pictures and a hole lot more that the ipods dont. Just my 2 cents.....

PS - Ive got pics in the sig of my ...... well imaginative / perhaps "ghetto" way of using my Lyra in my truck but it truly works great and sounds great! I know alot of people bash FM transmitors but my i did some research and ended up going with the belkin one and it sounds great, i dont know what the big deal is!?
