At least with plastic trim, it looks like plastic because it is plastic. I dont have anything against wood trim.....but i dont like plastic trying to impersonate wood trim. In the wood trims defence, the fake trim in the lariat looks alot better then the fake trim in most other vehicules i have seen. Have you guys ever looked inside an escalade? its ridiculous that an EXPENSIVE cadillac would use fake trim, not to mention that it is the crappiest fake wood trim i have ever seen. It looks like a big sticker on the dash....i still can get over how ****ty it looks...it ruins an otherwise good looking vehicule (in my opinion)....im dont ranting for now...

Oh yeah, we're talking about wood grain...

Personally, I think it looks pretty darn good. To each their own I suppose...

I personally love the wood... who cares if its fake. I think it makes my black leather interior look classy. I cant wait to add more!! Personally i Hate the carbon fiber look.... its way to plain.... but whatever floats your boat.

I view it this way. When I'm paying $30,000 plus for a truck another two hundred dollars for real wood trim would not bother me.

I just don't understand. Do you not like the chrome on the truck, becasue it is plastic? What about the carbon fiber, it is plastic. The beauty of plastic is they can make it look like anything.

I like the plastic wood grain trim, it will last longer than wood and will not dent, scratch, or crack like wood. If you don't like it, there are many other options out there.

I like the wood look but you know it’s fake. My only complaint with the interior, from a visual standpoint, is the plastic wood trim & the center shifter. Do they make a real wood kit to replace the plastic wood?

The woodgrain each to his own. Simply put.

Some like it, some don't. If you don't like it than change it or don't buy a Lariat. If you like it, than just on.

Well put Thumper... this one has probably run its course and is, generally, a dead subject.

I also have the "woodgrain" trim and really like it. It gives the tan interior and nice airy modern feel. I'd rather have the plastic than cut down more rare trees anyway.

Further, do you guys have a problem with pergo floors which are also synthetic but made to look like wood? They are more durable and cheaper too.

I had an 85 benz that had real wood in it. Mine was straight but all the other ones that I saw the wood always warped and cracked.

ANYWAY..I wasn't a big fan of the wood in the lariat but I realy like it now. I want to see someone put one of the additional sets of wood on. I think it wood look better with even more wood.

It doesn't bother me either way. I would like to find someone that would do a Bocote trim. I think that would look good with the tan interior.
