**Up Dated Gallery!**

I took your guys advice, I lost those chrome strip edges that I had on the side of the doors. I also added the Chrome Handles to all foor doors and tailgate. To be honest, I'm not to sure if I like that yet. There not the real handles themselfs, there the covers that are held in place by 3m tape, but I can see the black pastic around the edges of the handles a little bit still.

How this look to you guys? Give me your honest opinions. I had my sisters b/f over for lunch today and showed him my truck and asked him what he thought of the handles, he said to me "I don't like anything about fords or anything you put on them" Thats nice! errr He's a big Chevy fan and he also owns a 2001 Chevy Silverado, so I should have known better to ask him for his opinion.

Take a look at the link at the bottom and maybe give me your honest opinions?? Thank you!!

I don't like the chrome handles. you should have kept them black or smoothed them and had them painted blue.

Well I have always liked the color matched handles the best and was disappointed that the lariat's didn't offer that. I'm not a big fan of the black plastic handles.

All that said....I think the chrome looks ok....I like the far away shots more than the up close ones.

Not really my cup of tea but definetly not a bad look.

Jim

BTW....I love the true blue

I have to agree with easter island....i'm not big on too much chrome....black or painted to match is the way to go.

chrome is meant for rims.... but it looks good.....

now you need some rims and tires!!!! and either a leveling kit or some 2" shackles.... every little bit goes a long way.

Thanks for the replys. I went with chrome, just do to the fact, I have always loved how chrome looks on a car truck or suv. I guess to me it makes it a little bit more classy looking. I like how shiny it is and now that the sun came out for the frist time today since I had them put on today, it's diffenetly in my opinion a nice add on! They match my truck since i have both front and back rear bumpers (which by the way are rusting on me!) err! and my chrome tube steps on the side, so all in all, I don't think they look bad at all now that I taken a look at what they look like when the sun hits them!

I appreciate your honest opinions, if we were all they same, we would be pretty boring. lol

Thanks again!

Personally, I think it looks good. I especially like the fog light idea. That is exactly what I want to do next to my truck, besides wheels. Can I ask you how you mounted the fogs?

I think it looks great!! Before I put my chrome handles on I just put them up to the door and noticed that I would have been able to see some black. So I ordered the chrome surround for them and they look great!!

I didn't do the fog lights. I had my dealer put them on. They were expensive though for the fogs, they got me at 350 bucks just for those fog lights! The dealer also added my fender flares at the same time as the fogs. I **** a lot of people off though with them on, I have the HID lights in there and I guess they blind everyone on the road! lol

The real question is not whether or not we like it, the question is whether or not YOU like it. This is the only question that need be answered.

If you were taking my advice you would be driving a white FX4 where the black handles look perfect.

On the other hand, I think your handles tie in with your bumpers, steps and silver trim great, and it makes a nice contrast with the deep blue.

Regarding the fit, if they went on with foam tape you might look into using some other kind of double-sided tape or adheasive that is thinner. This might reduce the issue you have with the black showing.

how about a brushed aluminum look...... that would be smooth and sharp without being too flashy!

I agree w/ rugnit. They don't look bad though.
Good move on removing the edge guards. BTW, you should have your sisters b/f look at the cheby on "The Truth About Trucks" site and look at the terrible front end (no structure ) Ya can find it in mag ads also

First of all, like someone already said, it's your truck and it's what you like that matters. That being said, I don't like the chrome handles. To me it justs looks odd with all the black on that part of the truck. I like the step bars and I think bull bars look great but something about the door handles just bugs me.

it pretty much seems like on here and over where I live, that half loves what I've done, and half doesn't like what I have done. I like what I did to it so I'm happy for that though! :-)

I went to the car show last night, Ford had it's biggest display out of every car manufactor there!! Ford really did a great job on there setup! They had 8 F150's there! Ranging from the XL to the King ranch! Thats not on top of all the lifted F150's they had! They had an STX lifted about I'd say a good 15 inches!! It was HUGE!! They other car brands (Chevy, Dodge, Nisson, and Honda trucks only had one on display) I acually sat in a Honda Ridgline for the frist time, I never laughed so hard in my life! That thing was a joke! It's cool that Hondas trying to make a truck to compeat with us, but there have to do a lot better then that though.
I was just so impressed by Fords F150's they had on display, it was awsome!! I'm going back tonight to take another look at all the cars and trucks!
