Leveling Kit

I'm sure it's been asked and answered many times and if I search I'll find it but no specific luck yet. Question is: of the folks who have added the Daystart leveling kit,
1) do you really really wish you went with a 6 inch lift instead, or are you relatively happy with the overall ride height and look and
2) What size tires are you running and are you happy with them? I'm considering 33" or 35" on 18" wheels and would appreciate any comments.

Thanks in advance

You can't compare a leveing kit to a 6" inch lift..yea it SOUNDS like it's only a couple of inches, but there's a world of difference.

As for tires, 35" will maybe rub, and usually fill the wheel space to much! 33" is more standard with just the leveler.

I have the leveling kit + 3" body lift right now. Waiting on 6" plus 39" when more money comes (and GEARS!!!)

leveling kit?

I think the reason most of us go with the leveling kit is because we can get the nicer tires and wheels we want and spending only a few hundred bucks in the process to fit them. Many of us with the level kit know we will get the 6" lift down the road. The problem for me was that my wheel tire combo was well over two grand and this is also the case for the 6" lift. For me it is a matter of one thing at a time. I just did not have 5000.00 to spend all at once. It is probably safe to say that I speak for many of us.

Hey pal, turn the caps lock off.

I had the Autospring 2.5", the orginal one, where the coil spring would hit the control arm every time. I hated the way it rode, and tore up my tires.

So I went with the 6" and have loved every minute of it.

Now I just need an add a leaf and some 35's

I like my level kit with 34" tires. I'd never stick a 6 inch lift on my truck because I could only fit about 1" taller tires, it costs too much, resale value goes way down, and it is too hard to load passengers or cargo in the bed.

Hey- Do you have any pics of your 6" lift with 33" tires???

I just installed the Autosprings kit on my truck and it made a world of differance in looks... I mean its by no means the 6" with 35s I wanted but I also didnt want to lose all my power. I drove a lifted underpowered ranger for the past several years and I missed power.... I chose for now to stay with the leveling kit and 33" tires..... this always allows me to grow down the road it I wanted........

I am really wondering what a rancho 4" (really 5") would look like with 33s

thanks or all of you inputs...

I'm in the same boat as most in considering the cost/benefit trade off ~$350 for leveling vs +$2k for lift not including tires/wheels. I think I'm going to go with the leveling kit for now and do some other (must have now) adds like DVD, sidestep bars, tint/etc and eventually upgrade wheels and tires....thanks again

I'm terrible at uploading recent photos.

The previous picture was when I had just the levelling kit on it.

Those were taken the day I finished putting the lift on, and right after it arrived at the alignment place.

Hey easterisland. Is your level kit a Daystar? Did you do the install yourself?

I just got my 04 SCrew 3 weeks ago and got the Daystar 2.5 leveling kit from ebay yesterday for $75. I want to install myself next weekend.

I love my truck so far. First new truck I have ever had. Priceless!

I liked my buddies so I got one for myself...
