new set of tires
The BFG's suck.
If they offered me an equivalent discount towards quality tires of my choosing (read: Michelin LTX M/S) I'd be a happy camper but as far as I am concerned the extension on the tire warranty isn't worth the paper its printed on.
More power to you HHIFX4 if it made you happy though, man.

I HAD THE HANKOOKS WHAT A PILE OF CRAP THE SIDEWALLS WERE SO FLIMSY THEY HAD A HARD TIME BREAKING THE BEADS LIKE I SAID B4 I HAD A 34 THOUSAND DOLLAR TRUCK WITH 29 CENTS WORTH OF RUBBER ON IT I SAY RUBBER CUZ THEM SEMI ROUND THINGS COULDNT POSSIBLY BE TIRES
it did help the vibe, i didnt have it to bad, basically it would vibe pretty bad untill the tires got warm and then it was just a slight "nibble" in the steering wheel. i say anyone who has these crappy tires go and get you a new set.

I have the same problem with my 05 f150. I have the captian chairs with the center counsel shift (not that this matters) but my ashtray rattles like crazy on any road that is not glass smooth. I don't have the insert in and this is not what is causing the problem. It is the way the plastic cover latches. It is not tight enough and the whole unit rattles when driving. Does anyone else have this problem? My truck only has 5000 miles on it. It is driving me crazy. The only way to make it stop is to leave the ashtray open all the time.
I just finished going through this ordeal with my dealership. I have had multiple problems with my 04 FX4 including buckling doors, the noisy ashtray but above all else, the vibrations.
I don't put too many miles on my truck so it was even more frustrating the way they went about testing it.
By 6,000 miles I had the drive shaft and brake rotors replaced with Ford thinking that was the problem. At 6,000 miles they tested the wheels and replaced three of them (General tires by the way). Don't know why they didn't just replace the 4th. It would come back to haunt them. It drove ok after that, not great but ok, that is until I rotated the tires. Then it was as if I was driving on a flat tire when I started up in the morning. That was at 12,000 miles.
So I brought it in and told them what had happened. They had it for a couple of days (they did other work as well) but when I got it back they said all of the tires were fine. Out of curiosity, I asked how they tested them. They said that since they were having so many problems with tires that Ford now mandated that the tires must be road tested or warmed up for 20 minutes before testing them. I stated that I never drive it for more than 20 minutes so they will vibrate all the time whether they test good or not using their method.
The shop foreman went on a test drive with me and said he felt the vibration but couldn't do anything because of the way they were supposed to be testing them. So I spoke with the service manager. He said he knew it was a problem but there was nothing he could do. He said he could replace the tires but the same thing would happen. So I asked for a new brand of tires. Absolutely was not going to happen. Ford will not authorize switching tire brands under warranty. But he and the dealership GM pushed and pushed (They are awesome) and finally Ford authorized a switch to a different brand as long as I paid the difference in cost.
So Two days ago, they put a new set of Michelin LTX M/S' on my truck and the vibration magically disappeared. But they still look small on my truck. I'm pretty cheap so it will be a long while before I get bigger tires.
Now when I drive the only vibrations are the ones caused by bumps in the road. It is like a whole new truck. I love it.
