7015 Install ?

I originally posted this in the Multimedia/Navigation board but got a response that I would probably get a quicker answer from this group. For some of you folks that have done the Kenwood 7015 install, I have some questions that I haven't been able to figure out from searching through other posts.

I (will) have a 05 King Ranch that is being built this week in Claycomo and so I should take delivery sometime in the next couple of weeks. I have ordered the Kenwood 7015 and also have the 4100 navigation unit on the way.

From reading the various posts, it sounds like I need to order 1) the PAC SWI-X (to enable the steering wheel controls to continue to work), 2) a Meta 99-5807 kit, which is the trim ring/mounting kit, and 3) the Crutchfield 120-70-5520 wiring harness. Is that consistent with what you did?

I have not been able to figure out from any of the posts or pictures where is the best place to mount the emitter for the PAC SWI-X. Where did you mount it?

Is there a "best" location for the Kenwood 4100 navigation unit? I am thinking under the passenger seat but since I don't have either the truck or the unit yet, it's hard to guess.

Thanks for your help.

Sounds like you have the part list right. I mounted my PAC inside the dask. There is a large bar in the rear that I zip tied it to (secure, easy to access, etc). I drillled a small hole in the top of the trim plate for the emmitter (see my pix in the stereo install section).
I'd mount the NAV unit under the rear seat on the drive shaft hump. That's where I mounted my Music Keg. Makes it easy to access when I need to.
