Body Rust

I heard somthing about a pad on the 04, 05, trucks that is on the right inside finder infront of the break light that if not removed it can cause rust or corrision. Has anybody heard of this?

I got a service bulletin about this last week. Am taking my truck in tomorrow morning to get it taken care of. You should have (or will soon) get a letter from Ford if this applies to your truck. If not, call your dealer and ask them about it.

Do a search for it here in the 04/05 forum. You will find a lot of info on it.

So far it seems it only applies to 6.5' styleside beds.

Mine's in the shop now for that and various other minor issues. Gotta get things done before the warranty runs dry.

Just had the pad removed on mine today. They just scraped it off and repainted and rustproofed the inside of the wheel well.
