i picked up my truck from the dealer the otherday after they did some warranty work and reflashed my pcm.When i took off out the parking lot i could tell a huge difference. I had alot more low end and seem alot more peppy. It used to peel out just flooring it from a light. As soon as i put a replacement K&N filter in it seemed like the reflash went away. my low end was gone. I havent modded my airbox yet so i know its not that it also feels like some throttle lag came back. it wont even peel out anymore. is it my filter? Can i get a different dealerships to reflash it again?

 

unhook the ground cable from your battery for five minutes, then see if the problem goes away.(if you didn't do it when you installed the k&n)...Kevin

 

was i supposed to unplug the negative end of the batter installing just the filter? if i was i didnt do it. should i go do it now?

 

It resets the computer and makes it adjust for things like freer flowing intake or exhaust a little faster...Kevin

 

i just went and unplugged it and im waitin for a while then im going for a test drive

 

well i took it for a test drive and i was dissapointed. It doesnt peel out from a stop like it used too. o well. ill see if i can get a different dealer to reflash it. ill just say the throttle lag is starting to come back. It did make a little difference but not like what it felt like driving it off the lot at the dealership. id get a tuner but it would void my warranty and cant convince my parents otherwise that i can take it out
