Ghost Flames......

Hi All,
I have never posted in this forum but it seems like I just joined the club.

I just bought a new '05 FX4 SuperCrew that was setup by the dealer.

It has Silver Metallic paint with Ghost Flames, Rancho 4" lift, 20" Chrome rims with 325/60-20 Nito Terras.

Here are some lousy shots. I am waiting for better conditions to take more pics.

Nice truck! The flames are somthing I have not seen on an 04 or 05 yet. Did they do any performance upgrades to the engine?

Congrats on your new ride!

They are painted on with clearcoat. Smooth finish, can't feel them at all.

It was signed, Rock & Roll.

Very nice, really like the wheels.

Now come the mods. What's first, nerf bars to clomb into it??

I like that a lot!

It adds a lot without being overstated.

Is this the truck where you installed the XM SkyFi?

I love that truck! Looks really good! If you don't mind, how bad was the price on it?

Hi All,

To answer a few questions.....

Mods? I will try to keep the mods down. The things I am looking at are Sidewinder steps but I will probably just go with inexpensive cab steps for now. The first thing will be mud flaps or lip modlings that extend out about 1.5 to 2 inches because the tires extend past the wheel wells. The front especially, I don't want to mess up the flames offroading. A tonneau cover will be third. I am looking for some kind of cargo net that will go under the back seat.

No this not the truck I put the XM MyFi into. I removed it from my old truck and will be installing it into this beast.

Price? It stickered for 38,785 without the add ons. With the rebates, dealer incentive and D plan. It came out to be 30, 104. The add-ons, Rancho 4" lift, flames, rims and tires listed at 9299. I got it for 6950. So everything included it was than MSRP.

There are no performance upgrades, soon to come. The factory warranty does not cover installed components but it doesn't void anyother components either. I got it in writing, which was like pulling teeth. Besides, my brother is a mech for the dealership.

If it clears up I may get a few more pics.

Later
