2 Quick questions

1. Can you start the truck and then lock while running (to allow to warm up). And then use the key pad to open. Its just been too cold for me to actually try this.

2. Should the window lock switch on the driver's door be illuminated?

Thanks

Question 1; you bet, that is one major advantage to having the key pad. Sometimes I will lock it and leave it running while I run into the Quick Trip to get my coffee in the morning.

Question 2: don't know!

To lock the door while its running, make sure the passenger side door is locked and then push the drivers side door lock down manually. If you use the door lock button, the door will unlock when you close it.

Be careful though. In Maryland we I live, over 1/3 of all stolen cars are stolen while running unattended.

You can also push the 6-7 and 8-9 buttons at the same time to lock them.

Also for the ones that don't know after you push in the #s to unlock your doors, if you push 1-2 and 3-4 at the same time it will unlock all the doors.

All you need to do is a by an alarm with starter and you wont have to press any buttons except the one on the remote. As well you wont have to worry about leaving a key in the ignition.
If by chance some moron does try to steal your truck as soon as they touch the gas, the engine turns off.
Much easier than pressing this button, that button, and all the other buttons.

Yeah, but to do that you have to have your keys (or at leaste the fob) with you....I leave my keys in the truck about 95% of the time and just use the security pad thing to get in and out.

-Actually it's the 7-8 and 9-0 buttons at the same time to lock them all, and the 3-4 only to unlock all doors.

Ditto on the keyfob. I use a 2 part keychain so I can separate the key from the fob while the truck is locked and warming up.
