I'm Offended
Last night I went to my grandmom's house for dinner. I pulled up in the '04 F-150, went inside and sat down. Then my cousin pulls up in his NON-HEMI Dodge Ram 1500 and my grandmom says, "Here comes the monster truck. The big one." Should I be taking offense to that? Because I did.
Has she ridden in both trucks? If so, then her perception is most likely based on the ride comfort. She might think of your SCrew as a 'big car' but your cousin's Dodge rides like a floor jack (or a 1982 Freightliner). Let her believe what she wants.
Do what I do. Take is as she's just old ( if she is ) and that she's going senile ( if she is ) and doesn't know what she's talking about ( if she doesn't. )
Then I just think, "Ahh, she's old and crazy, what doe she know?"

Sounds to me like your grandmas just trying to be nice to your cousin, yall both know whos got the real "monster truck"...... I know my grandma would lie to me and say I have the most beautiful car in the world even if I drove up in a 1962 hot pink VW bug with neon yellow racing strips and a set of furry dice haning on the rear view mirror. Not because shes old fashion and doesnt know a think about cars considering she drives an XJ8, just because shes to nice to admit the truth. Gotta love her for it i guess!
Fortunately he was outside when she said it, so he didn't hear it. I should ask her to smell the inside of each truck. She'll call it The Stinkmobile instead of The Monster Truck, after that.
