Any display you see on the RDS radio is being broadcast from the radio station. It has nothing to do with your specific radio.

So you are telling me an old azz radio that doesn't have the RDS decoding in it can still show me the RDS information?

Thats kind of like saying your TV will show HD wether or not it has the HD Decoder in it.

Do you know 100% that is doesn't have RDS capabilities? It doesn't matter how old a radio station is, they can still acquire the equipment for RDS. Or maybe they were another station before what they are now and they don't even realize they have it?

Ok my bad. I re-read your post 2 places above and now it makes sense. I was tripping.

I somehow didn't see the RDS Radio portion and only saw Radio.
