money 4 mods

Hey Guys
Being new to the site and only making a couple of posts with few responses. (might have been in the wrong area)
I have read untill my eyes bleed and my wife yelling at me to get to bed, I was wondering. with my occupation (Law Enforcement) and limited money for mods (earlier post about age of owners) what do the rest of you F-150 owners do for a living?
I was also wondering If anyone saw the mods done by GUNS&AMMO magazine in July, Aug, and Sept 04 on a F150.
If you did, What do you think.
I would love to add all kinds of things to my truck, but the money is tight and I can't justify a $300+ K&N intake, but for some reason I can justify the $500+ new rifle or other firearm. The wife says I have some king of sickness, but my buddies and I believe ALL IS FAIR IN LOVE, WAR, and buying GUNS

Love the site and after 1900 miles still loving my FX4

I'm an E-Commerce manager for an internet company.... In the "adult entertainment" genre.... Just kidding, but that'd be a pretty sweet job eh?

I'm actually an E-commerce manager of a much less contreversial internet company .... Been working with different dot com companies for the past 6 years.... I guess my resume at 21 is what's helping me mod out my truck. Funny thing is, I hate working on computers.... Would rather be snowboarding or wakeboarding... oh well

Being young also has its benefits of not having too many expenses.

Tax returns, and PATIENCE in shopping till you find the best deal are what help me. If I'm patient I can usually find what I'm looking for for 20-40% off what someone would normally pay... just my 2 cents. Good luck Modding your truck! It's an addiction far worse then your gun addiction once you start!!! haha. And thanks for the job you do... you're a better man than I.

I sell drugs

.....legal ones. I am a Pharmasutical Sales Rep. I pretty much spend the whole day in doctors offices flirting with nurses....man its hard work but somebodies got to do it!!!

I agree with Merek3CS, shop around before you buy and you can save a ton of money on mods. I have close to $10K in mods on my truck (and I have only had it 3 months!), but had I not shopped around and done a lot of the labor myself I could easily have a whole lot more in it.

Forensic Computer Examiner with a Government Agency. Of course I've spent the last 10 years getting out of debt and now spend all of my money on my truck. Law enforcement just doesn't pay enough. I do get to look at **** though....and get paid for it. I guess it has SOME perks.

Well . . .

. . I'm a family practice physician here in Georgia. Plenty of money for mods but the wife won't let me get a custom exhaust 'cause she doesn't like all the noise!

Only mods I've made are a custom install XM radio and Husky Floor mats. Now that I'm out of warranty I'm considering levelling the front end.

haha small world

I'm a Data Recovery and Forensics Specialist by day. I don't have a lot of money for truck mods, nor do I have the interest in doing so after modding and selling my last 3 cars at a steep loss. Rest of the money is spent on computers, waverunner, motorcycle, rent and girlfriend (dont tell her where she stands in the list!).

I'm in the Air Force also, 17 years and still counting. Saving for 3 years to make a big down payment kept my payments low and leaves a little here and there for mods.

I'm a helicopter pilot in the Coast Guard. Currently in UCLA (Ugliest Corner of Lower Alabama).

I wish I had the money to do the mods I want but to save a marriage and my hide I had to finally give in and buy living room furniture. What a waste. Only a few people will ever see it whereas thousands will see my truck.

P.S. I am sure that argument will not work with your wife either so don't even bother.
