05 Steering Wheel Controls different?

I was reading on another forum about a guy who swapped the headunit from an 05 with mp3 capability into his 04. He said everything works great except

"I hit the MEM button on my steering wheel control the radio seeks stations instead of playing the programed ones."

Then someone else with a factory installed audiophile HU on an 05 and he says his does the same thing.

Now my 04 switches to the preprogrammed stations when I hit mem.

So what do the 05s do when you are listening tothe radio and hit the mem. Preprogrammed or scan.

Thx

Jim

Mine goes through the pre-programmed stations if you hit the outside of the button. If you hit the inside of button it switches modes, am fm cd etc.

Ditto on my '05.

If you've never set the presets maybe it just does a scan? Who knows.

Good theory.....

It may just be an imcompatability between the 04 wheel control and an 05 Hu but that seems unlikely....
