When you get the reflash done on one of these trucks, the dealer is supposed to put an Authorized Modifications Sticker on the truck. They put mine on the plastic cowl that is in the front of the engine compartment. The also do not give you the new 4-digit PCM code, instead they give you Ford P/N which will be written on the sticker the dealer puts on. This can then be cross referrenced by someone like Troyer's if you want to get a tuner and such. I don't have a pic of mine, but I am sure there are others that do. Hope I could help!

Anyone else with an 2005 have this throttle lag?

I got my 05 SCREW Dec. 28, 2004, built in Sept. or Oct. 04, but I too have this lag people with 2004's are having.

I would imagine that I already have the up to date codes, but you know what they say when you assume!

I have an early built 04 and recently had the reflash. did not seem to improve the trottle lag. in fact, now that i think of it, it has more drivability irritations. one think i disliked about my 01 was it shifted way too early into second gear. i liked that my 04 did not do this. well it has been doing this lately and now i know why, i judt reflashed..... duh.........

all this talk about the computer learning your driving habits, so can you do a "crash course" learning on these things so that when i tip in,... it knows i am tipping in !!!!!!

rambunctious,

I'm in the same boat. My reflash has done nothing for my hesitation, and I would venture to say it's worse.

I asked my SA today about it, and he has the same problem with his SCrew-reflashed and still has the hesitation. He said Ford knows about the problem and is working on it.
