2004 SuperCab Pricing

So I'm in the market for a 2004 SuperCab, and the dealer offered me $31,149.80 for a loaded FX4, moonroof, trailer/mirror package, power drivers seat, rear sliding window, 6-cd changer, big gas tank, 18" rims&wheels... And I was wondering if this was a good price to pay. I'm going to try and get a factory bedliner, bug guard, window shades, and mud flaps out of them as well. X-Plan pricing on the truck was $31,383.07. Rebates are around $2000 + 3.9%APR for 60 months. MSRP on the truck is $35,530.00. Is there any room for more negotiation? Or is this pretty much the only deal that I'm going to be able to get. It is the 04 model, and they are antzy to get this thing off their lot. Any dealer insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Sounds like I have nearly the same truck you are looking at. I purchased it in early October. Sticker price on my truck was ~$38K. I managed to get for $29K plus tax/tag ($9K off the sticker). That included $4500 in rebates. I would think the dealer would be anxious to move out the last of the 04's, but he doesn't want to loose $ on the deal. Look at KBB.com or a similiar site. I'd be happy if you were able to get the truck for invoice or a couple hundred above. Hopefully the rebates are still high for the 04's.

I would think you could do a little better than that price on an 04. Try to get them to come down a bit more; the worst they can say is no.

KBB says: Private: $27,685 and Stealer: $30,865. Meet halfway at $29,275... thats $1874.80 under what they offered... I wonder if that'll fly :-p...

I would go to KBB and price out the exact vehicle w/options.It will tell you the MSRP and dealers invoice +freight etc. Then you will have a better bargaining chip.My 04 Lariat supercab had every option that was available for that model. Listed for $39,440.Bought it for $29,330. Good luck.(Purchased truck 10/22/04).

Justis01: The test drive was alright, the ride was pretty smooth. I suppse i'm in a F150 forum, so you guys probably only have good things to say about these trucks :-p.

KBB: Invoice: 31,658, Retail: 34,190. Not sure what that means... but there ya go. Invoice is a bunch of bull... I'm sure that the dealers pay much less than Invoice of the vehicle.

For that price it should at least be an '05, I bet you can get them down quite a bit on an '04.

Thats not a good price at all. You can buy a 05 for that with a little work. I just bought my 05 FX4 in Dec. with everything but the Sunroof for 28500.00 out the door......

My feeling is you should be able to buy for Xplan less the rebates, even if you do not qualify for the X. If you do, you would probably be better off with an 05. I purchased an 04 FX4 in December and with X plus rebates etc it was $10K off sticker.

No way is that even close to being a good deal......this late in the game they should practically give it to ya(relatively speaking of course ) way back in August i got my FX4 with a MSRP of 35 something for not much more than $27K....

be firm with them...believe me they will let it go for WAYYY less than 31.....
