Question rear end and brakes

Hi guys, i know it's been some time but i have two big questions.
I have 10,000 miles on an 04stx and i am in the process of having the rear end replaced. Has anybody had this problem? Ford has no idea why this has happened. Next question is why are my rotors getting so grooved and brakes squealing so much. Again Ford has no idea but have replaced rotors and pads. Thanks for your help!

Why are they replacing it? Due to noise and/or vibration, or did it sieze up or lose a tooth or something. If it's for whine or vibration, ford does indeed know about it, and they know why it happens. Do a search on 'rear whine' or 'rear howl' and you'll find tons of info about it.

Just got a new one slapped on mine last week after patiently waiting for several months. Problem solved, so far at least.

Nothing to offer you in brake regards, except that modern cheap pads suck.

I have the same issue. 32,000 miles and the front rotors and pads look normal but the rear rotors have large grooves as well. I was under the impression they did the least of the work when it comes to braking. Anyone think this is a warranty issue?
