Regrets about your F150?

Does anyone have any regrets about the choice they made in buying their truck? By choices I am referring to options (then again if you regret buying the truck period then you can post that too, but if you hate your truck you probably don;t post here anyways.)

I regret not getting the 5.5' bed (I have the standard 6.5') on my supercab and I regret getting the regular chrome bumper without the fog lights.

I got about every damn option you could get on an XLT, so no regrets there. My only regret is not getting a Supercrew. I carry people alot more than I do cargo, so the four full doors would fit my life better than the suicide doors on the Scab.

The only regret I have so far (not with a factory option but a aftermarket mod) is going with 24s instead of 26s....I might sell the 24s and get a set with my income tax refund!

I wish I had gotten the bigger gas tank. Other than that, I ordered everything I wanted.

I thought the 5.4 got almost as good mpg anyways....The sticker from Ford says the same numbers for both engines.

I have the 5.4 and the first week i had the truck i calculated the mileage and got a little over 16. Couldn't believe it so i did it twice more and sure enough Im averaging about 16 MPG and i drive fast but use the cruise control. ( half around town and half on the highway) So go with the bigger engine it doesnt sound like its going to suck any more gas than the 4.6. I only wish the factory tires were bigger. I dont want to just throw them away but damn they are tiny.

I have a 5.4L with 3.55s (and 24in tires and wheels) and I am averaging 14.5 MPG. Before the tires and wheels I was getting 15.6 MPG. Both are with an equal amount of highway and in town driving. I drove to Atlanta last Tuesday (350 miles round trip) and got 16.4 MPG running 75-80 MPH on I-75.

Absolutely, tee-totally no regrets. I love this truck!

I guess I do regret having not purchased a tuner yet... that will change soon though!

I wanted black on black, i was told the darkest interior was charcoal. Needless to say, its silver, not black.

Other then that, I love the truck, I want the driveshaft dampner thing off an 05 though.

I regret that I can't afford an 05 FX4, either supercab or supercrew, for personal use, in addition to my 04 XL regular cab, long bed, that I bought for work! My wife and I need a new SUV, ours is getting up there in milage, and it just doesn't have enough room, now that we have a baby. I'm trying to convince her to get an 05 FX4, and we'll put a shell on it to store the baby's gear, but she's not having any of that! LOL

No regrets whatsoever. This is the nicest truck I have ever owned by far. I’ve had it since 10-24-03 and it’s been trouble free.

My 5.4 w/3.73 4X4 always gets between 14 and 15 in normal short runs and gets in the upper teens on the highway. It does better than my cousin's 4.6.
