Knocking sound :-(

I'm taking my truck in tomorrow for a list of things starting with new clutch packs, belts sqealing when I start up up in cold mornings, whine in the back end.

One thing I also noted down today was when the truck gets up to normal temperature after driving 3 miles, you can't hear it from inside the truck, but there is a load knocking sound from the engine (not ticking) The knockign sounds like it's coming from under the engine (4.6l) Have you guys ever had a knocking sound that you noticed when the truck is warmed up? Should I be worried or am I just to picky?

Try different gas. My wifes new Freestar had some pinging or knocking and we went to a different gas station and the sound went away.

When I pull my trailer under 10 mph up my driveway I can hear a knocking sound under my truck but actually I think it may be a heat shield.
