Lightbulb Squeaking Gas pedal

Anyone having any problems with a squeaking gas pedal ?
It appears that the pedal squeaks, just like the top third of the pedal.
I brought it up to the local dealer, he said, he does not know what the problem is, being as there are no springs behind the pedal.

He said, I would have to leave it for a day and disassemble the whole pedal and module down there.

I tried Silicone and WD-40 and that does not appear to be helping the problem.

Any one have this happen to them in the past, Any suggestions on how to quiet the squeak ?

Thanks all for your time.

Where did you apply the silicone and WD-40 (btw: wd-40 isn't a good lube, it's only good for displacing water)

I never noticed my brake pedal squeak yet. Maybe it's there, and I can't hear it due to the other 50,000 mice nosies I hear inside my truck :-(

You might want to try clear silicone spray, since wd-40 like another guy said in here doesn't do much at all. Or, you can take the truck to do the dealer if u wanted to since it's under warrenty and have those guys fix it for u?

Mine pedal squeeked right after I washed my truck.

I thought WTF....

After I got out and walked around a bit. It went away. The rubber on my boots were squeeking because why??? They were "squeeky" clean too.

Try driving in your stocking feet to see if it goes away.

Easy Fix

I had the squeak after about 16 months. A little sillicon grease fixed it right up. No problem now.

While were on the subject of our trucks making odd noises..

Since I bought the truck when I start the truck there is a noise and soon as I push on the gas pedal it gets louder! I have no idea what it could be!

Silicone spray is your best bet, if that doesn't take the squeak away, try a little Monterey Jack
