Door panel film flaking

Sorry if this has been talked about already. An attempted search turned up nothing.

Has anybody seen this? Paint appears to be flaking from the black door panel of the front door of my '04 F150 SC. Looking closer at it, it looks like flaking of the black adhesive film that Ford puts over the panel. The panel underneath appears to be aluminum.

I have an appointment with my service department on Saturday. Anybody else have an experience with this? I'll let you know how it turns out.

Ray

Hi
My F150 is ok but i have a Windstar that had the same problem at about 30,000 miles. Ford dealer replaced them under warranty.
Hope this helps.

I don't have that problem on my F-150, but its just a warranty problem, take it in and they will replace it. On another note, i all of a sudden am getting water/condensation in my tail lights, same thing...will be taking it in for warranty replacment.

Did they change these panels on the '05? My panels are dull and are not painted as far as I know. Yours are defnitely more shiny than mine.

Looks like the door wasn't preped properly before that film went on.
Oh the joys of mass production!
