Looking for a little more power is a quest of any true automobile lover. If I had a Geo Metro and I could add a $200 chip to take 3 seconds off the 1/4 time, I'd get it. Then I would be able to conquer the 1/4 mile in 19 seconds instead of 22 and I would be happy about it.

I had a 96 Impala SS and it was so much fun making the car quicker once I decided to upgrade the cam and heads.

I feel sorry for you, because you simply bought a truck off the showroom floor and know how to hit the gas pedal. Studying cams/heads/intakes/headers is 80% of the fun for me!!!

Anyhow... Why did you buy a truck that you cannot even use for normal truck purposes? This is the part that blows me away. If you are totally interested in speed, your flat nosed/non-aerodynamic truck was a poor choice!

Not to mention, you spent about $15,000-$20,000 more on your truck that most of us did. If I were to mod my truck with $15k-$20k worth of mods, I'm pretty sure I could toast the doors off of your Jeremy Mayfield wanna-be truck.

 

You bought a race truck- so go race! I bought a work truck that will do anything, go anywhere and look better than any other truck doing it.
Is the SRT a cool truck, yeah. Is it as bad A$$ as the L, no way.
The L puts up almost as good 1/4 mile #'s is this Dodge, with over 100 less HP! Way to go Dodge!
