Hemi KILL

Late this afternoon about 4:30 pm, my youngest son and me were giving my other son a ride to work because his car broke down. For a few miles a Dodge Hemi 4dr Quad Cab and myself were driving in light to moderate traffic going south on US-1, a four-lane highway. As luck would have it, we found ourselves at a red light. When it turned green we both floored it and I jumped out in front about ½ a truck length and pulled just beyond the Dodges front bumper when we both had to let off because we were coming up on traffic fast. Nothing but big smiles from the three of us when the driver in the Hemi looked over after we slowed down. I always wanted to own a Hemi What a good feeling.

It seems like a good Troyer tune is all it takes to embarass those guys...Can't wait to get mine tuned

Kool!!Funny thing is, thats all Dodge has! Is your tuner similar to superchips? How much$?Off the subject, but noticed your gap insert . Where can I get one and how $? Thanks. Nice truck!

I got my G.A.P. grille insert from ebay. It was $60 bucks ouch but I’m happy with how it looks.

You can definitely run 87octane. I have an 87octane performance tune, a 93octane tow-preferred tune and a 93octane Max-Performance tune loaded in my Xcalibrator. I’ve tried all three of them and they all rock even the 87octane tune.

The best thing to do is give Troyer Performance a call. They have excellent customer service and know what’s what when it comes to tuning F150's.

Superchips Custom Tuning Xcalibrator for ALL OBD-II FoMoCo vehicles 1996-2005

F150online members get a break on the price when you order by phone and a few other bennies too like email updates etc. etc.

Sweet dude, I always wondered if these things could embarass some Hemi's....Then again I doubt my stock 5.4 SCAB could take a single Cab Hemi...


P.S. how much would it be to throw some 4.10's in my rear end? Wouldn't that make a huge difference?

P.S.S. I live in Texas, if I got an Xcalibrator I would then have to tune it myself or go find a decent tuner around here.....or does it come already tuned from Troyer?

When you call Troyer and order an Xcalibrator you have to fill out a “Custom Program Worksheet”. He’ll tune specifically for your trucks PCM code and do three in-depth custom-tailored tunes for you. Mike has 13 years experience tuning the F150 platform and he gets results far above any generic tune you’ll get from another tuner.
My tunes are:
87-octane – Performance
93-octane – Tow-Preferred
93-octane – Max-Performance
and all three ROCK

Get the Xcalibrator first because you will probably find out you don’t need to change rear-gears although that will help also.

If Iget an exhaust/intake/et cetera won't I need to get it retuned later? Then what?

Also, do you notice a big difference between the three modes?

Does anyone with 4.10 gears think it was worth the money retrospectively?
