4x2 into 4x4?

crazy question:

anyone ever heard of turning a 4x2 into a 4x4?

i know it can be done, but will Ford do it, so that it is just like the factory 4x4's?

price?

WHY THE HECK WOULD YOU WANT TO DO THAT?? You should have brought in the frist place the truck you wanted! I'm sure to get the 4x4 stuff on the truck, it will cost you more then 1,500 which would have been how much to get that option in the first place!

If you ask me, your insane

You could turn it into an eighteen-wheeler if you had the money.

the question is why would you want a 4x4 since you got a 4x2 and you live in Florida.

I cant see you taking your lariat out on some trails doing any serious off roading that would necessitate a 4x4.

easy boyz, easy.....
just curious as to whether it can be done.

there are some surf spots that are only accessible by 4x4 here in florida. lots of deep white sand!

ask a crazy question, and get crazy answers....... 18 wheeler, nice.

I don't know if you've ever been to Florida or not but thats a pretty ignorant comment considering a lot of people around here HAVE to have 4x4s or they'd be calling a tow-truck or me with my 4x4 to get them out every other day.

Seriously, us Alaskans NEVER need four wheel drive, our snow has the same scientific make up as sand...

As you said, I'm sure it CAN be done. The real question is "should it be done"? I say no. It would be more cost effective I think to sale or trade if you really want 4x4.

BTW...why the h@ll did I buy a 4x4 in AZ?

Well just using this as an example, I live on 5 acres and its mostly sugar sand and if you tried to get in 2wd you'd get stuck unless you were romping it and than you'd get your tailgate peppered around here..

So thats exactly a reason why you'd need 4wd, without unnecessary romping it, too much!
