I have the taped on ones, but would prefer the inchannel ones in a heartbeat as they look alot nicer, and in my experience stay on better. Unfortunately my dealer installed the ones i have now, and are covered by the factory warrenty so they will be staying on for at least a couple more years.
Hope this helps

I have weathertech in-channel vent guards and couldn't be happier with them. They have none of the little squeaks or added wind noise than the stickon sets I had on my last three vehicles.

I have the AutoVentShade in-channel Quick Snap type. They are fantastic. No adhesive or clips, just in-channel wedges that hold them from slipping. I put them on on about 10 minutes. I got them at truckxpressions.com.

I've got the stick on ones that I bought from Ford. As long as you clean everything properly there won't be a problem with them sticking. Or staying on.

I guess this is just a personal opinion, but the in-channel ventshades look like a factory installed option. The stick-ons look somewhat cheap, while still serving the same puropse. I don't know what the price difference is between the two, but I would think the in-channel ventshades would be worth the extra cash.

I would get the in-channel stick on kind. I had the ventshade in-channel clip on type but one flew off going 80 down the highway. IMO the clip on kind do not come with enough clips.

Zoltan: you were the onewho posted about this earlier right? if so you are the reason for this thread! i wasn't sure if it was all of them or just a few that dont have enough clips... thanks for all of you help guys... kind of leaning towards the weathertech as everyone who has them seems to love them.

It could have been me, but I think that was a while ago.

The rear visors would come down with the window and the front ones only had one clip at the top corner of the window. Stick with the inchannel stick kind or a different brand then ventshade.

Zoltan,

I ordered the in-channel adhesive tape kind first and they arrived with 3 out of 4 of them having cracked and broken corners right out of the box. I am still trying to get them replaced under warranty. Meanwhile, I ordered the AutoVentShade Quick Snaps and they have been great. How long did you have yours on when you lost one?

I also have the Vent Visor clip-ons. My rears stay in just fine, but I had to add a small piece of double sided tape on the front edge of the front visors. Haven't had any problems yet.

i have the AVS in channel with double tape. it took a few days for the channel to stretch to fit the window in with the visor, but it works perfect now. the outside stick on ones work ok too, but the in channels look a lot cleaner IMO

Thumbs up

I took my AVS quick snaps for a spin up to 95 MPH today and none of them came off.
