leaky fog fix

i think i might have a fix for leaky foglights.i noticed that the bulb did not attach tight to the light housing,so after i drain as much water as could, clean uped even more water with q-tips i applied white grease around the base of the bulb where it meets the light housing.took the truck through an automatic car wash and NO water in lights!

Sounds like a great solution. Mine haven't leaked, but I'll have to keep that in mind just in case something like that ever comes up.

I think this is a great proactive fix. Why wait until the lens housing is full of water and difficult to get clean (to say nothing of getting the reflector cleaned up.) With the bulb holders so easy to get to this is a 5 minute job that could save hours of detail work.

Great idea!! Mine's getting done tomorrow.

I had one get water in it and the Silver Star bulb exploded. You would not believe the mess that caused. It discolored the reflector so the dealer replaced it under warranty....
