Sunvisor warning label stickers

Has anyone sucsessfully removed the warning labels from their latemodel F150 sunvisors? They look so tacky, and I really dont need to read up on how to 4x4 or airbag operation. I wonder if anyone really reads those anyway. Will removing them leave a sticky mess? Dont want it looking worse than it already does....

Removed mine the first week.

I can't stand the look of those YELLOW stickers.

Used hair dryer and patience. It takes just the correct amount of heat to have them let go. Then they peel right off.

You have to be careful though that you don't get them too hot though.

Use your fingernail and work slowly.

I remember somebody trying to do that with a heat gun a while back and the results weren't stellar. Left stick crap behind and trying to remove that with leave a stain of Goo gone or whatever solvent you use.

Gearhead-
Would you be willing to help me get my stickers off? I don't even OWN a hair dryer, but I'll be in Oviedo tomorrow to get some stuff from my sister's house. Heck, I'll buy your favorite flavor of beer or whatever. If you're willing to discuss it, drop me a note at r-j-s (at) earthlink.net. I'm in Casselberry.

Why don't you re-upholster your sun visors? That's what I did. Though I don't have a digital camera to show you pictures, I found some fabric the same color as the truck and covered the sun visors, center arm rest, and rubbery tray on top of the dash board. It breaks up the all grey interior quite nicely.

Mabey you guys can snap a before/after pic when you do it, I was hoping you wont be able to see original outline or fabric discoloration after the stickers are removed.

Now that I've read this, maybe I'll have to give it a try. Will have to wait until in warms up a little though. Pretty cold outside and my garage isn't insulated. Will give it a try this spring when the weather warms up. I wish that Ford would have just made them easily removeable in the first place. I know that I've never taken the time to read them They just seem to be an annoyance to me.

Gearhead Dave hooked me up today. Took about 10 minutes including moving the truck into the garage because his extension cord wouldn't reach out into the driveway. There is a faint outline where the sticker used to be but it's nothing compared to the huge 2x5 yellow warning sticker screaming in my face.

While Dave got the sticker off, I was out drooling all over his 05 Aspen Green King Ranch. That is one pretty truck.

edit: He could only get off the sticker that was on the cloth part. The one on the plastic mirror cover on the back side of the driver's side is still there, don't know how to get that one off yet.

The Airbag sticker that's on each visor came off easily for me...but that other sticker that was only on the driver's side visor left some sticky residue...a little agrivating. I can't remember what that sticker was...but it was on a little better than the other ones.

I guess mine don't bother me. I had to go out and check if they were even there.
