Is Ticking in a 4.6l engine normal??

Is Ticking in a 4.6l engine normal??
Hello!
I noticed mostly anythign I hear coming out of my engine when the hood is open just sounds of "ticking" I notice more ticking on the pasengerside of the engine, but I have not listened to any of f150's engine to compare so I don't know if ticking is normal or not. The rest of the engine is so quite but all I hear is ticking (Maybe since the engine is quite?) who knows, but anyone else notice the same thing??
P.S I got the 4.6l engine
