Took it in for vibe...

and rear slider window rattle (parts on order). Just got the call that they fixed the vibe by balancing the tires. From looking at other threads the reliability of this as a 'fix' is spotty at best. Were folks usually able to tell right away that it wasn't fixed or did it take a little bit of time?

i had my rear end replaced for a whine sound at 11000 miles and after i got it back i felt a slight vibe also.....after the holidays i took it in and after they inspected eveything and could not find anything wrong they balanced the tires and the vibe was gone......im at 14000 now and still no vibe or whine so i guess they fixed it....

Got it back and briefly road tested it. Definitely felt smoother, but not sure if I still felt a little vibe under it all. Will determine more when I drive it home tonight.

Is the vibe crazy bad or is it just enough to notice a little shake in the steering wheel because Im thinking I might just need to get my wheels and tires balanced.

Before the balancing I could feel it up through the seats and in the steering wheel. Post balance felt pretty smooth but like I said, jury is still out until I get a little more time in it.
